As an AmeriCorps VISTA member, you can build capacity and infrastructure development to more effectively bring individuals and communities out of poverty. Through activities such as fundraising, establishment of community volunteer recruitment and management systems, community outreach, and collaborative development, you can help to mobilize local resources to achieve lasting solutions to poverty. As a VISTA member you will focus efforts on building organizational, administrative, and financial capacity with the goal of achieving transformative and sustainable outcomes.

AmeriCorps VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) members are a dedicated group of individuals from across the nation making a commitment to full-time service for one year in a capacity building role to fight poverty in Camden City, New Jersey and the surrounding region. Service as an AmeriCorps VISTA member is an excellent way for you to gain professional experience and give back to your community at the same time.
